I produce dimensional rough cut lumber from my forest land in Southern Oregon around the Rogue Valley. I can cut rough cut Douglas fir, incense cedar, ponderosa pine and sugar pine. Delivery is available in the Rogue Valley or pickup at my warehouse in Central Point (near Medford).
I can cut custom dimensions including thick timbers and slabs, as well as standard rough cut dimensions.

This lumber is true dimension minus saw kerf and shrinkage. Most of the lumber you buy in stores is planed down to smaller than the stated dimensions. For example, a 2×4 is more like 1.5-in x 3.5. Rough cut lumber is typically closer to the actual dimensions. In my case you can subtract 1/6-1/8 inch for saw kerf. Rough cut boards are thicker with a more rough rustic look. I think it has more character and a less manufactured look than planed lumber. The thicker dimensions also gives whatever you are building a more substantial look.
My lumber comes exclusively from forest enhancement products, which takes it well beyond sustainable. I don’t go into a forest and cut trees down to make lumber, I go into the forest and cut excess overcrowded, dead or dying trees to promote forest health. This leaves the largest healthiest trees, making them more disease and wildfire resistant. As a byproduct, the excess is then made into lumber and other forest products.
Do you make 8x8x10’ and 6x6x12’ if so what is cost?
